ILLUSTRATOR TO VECTORWORKS WITH TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND???

Recommended Posts

I am importing images from illustrator to vectorworks 2008 which have a transparent background (to be specific the image is a tree with many tiny leaves).

I know I can import it or even copy and paste it then change the fill (in vectorworks) to none and have the white background disappear.

Here is the problem:

When I do this the entire background never disappears, there is always a thin white trim around the tree branches and leaves which doesn't exist in the original image... I have tried to import in every manor including .dwg and .dxf, .tif, .png, .jpg, etc.
