Texture Extrude Objects

I am working on a landscape design. I have made a sidewalk from a polygon extrude. I am unablle to texture the extrude. I have imported a texture (light concrete) and am using the the usual part overall in render mode. Why can I not texture this object? What do I need to check? Thanks.

It might be that the polygon object that you used to create the extrude has no fill. Try editing the extrude with the Modify->Edit Extrude command and checking for this.

Copy the sidewalk into a new file and post it here. Click on the Switch to Full Reply Screen link below and use File Manager to upload the file.

This may be obvious but check to make absolutely sure that it is a closed polygon- I have created many polygons that I failed to click on the right start point to make it closed. And of course they never rendered correctly-(usually got the sides but not the middle.
