Brooklyn
I love the GRID TRANSPARENCY option in Renderworks Textures. It creates surfaces perforated with squares or rectangles. Is there a way of creating surfaces perforated with circles? This would be very useful in modeling perforated metal for screens, sun control, balustrades, etc. Thanks in advance! propstuff
Create a new texture with an Image Transparency Draw the perf pattern you want in VW (or other program). Cut the pattern at the repeat points in both directions for tiling. Export the image at exactly the size of the trimmed pattern. Create the texture using that image. It works a treat. N. domer1322
couldn't you do the same thing by picking an existing texture shader, then adjusting the color to "polka" then the transparency to "color filter" and then pick the color of the polka dot to be transparent ? Quote Link to comment
