Luffer
I'm creating my first light plot in VW2010, only a few problems so far. I struggled to find a Par64 for ages, finally dug one up in the USITT library but it doesn't have a clamp on it... Where can I find a Parcan with a clamp? Also, I have old stock in my theatre and can't find a Strand Cantata Profile. It's got the Cantata 1.2kw Fresnel which I also have, but not the profile version. Where can I find a symbol for that? Seems VW2010 has loads of new flashy moving lights but doesn't cater for the poorer venues that have old generic lanterns :-( Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Try the Altman PAR symbols. They will have clamps and look correct in 3D views. The US version has VNSP, NSP, MFL, and WFL. Don't know if the UK version is 60, 61, 62. The US version has the Cantata Fresnel & Cantata PC. But no profile. You might have to make your own. hth michaelk Quote Link to comment
Luffer
Thanks, I swapped all the Par64s over to the Altman symbol, but the fixture doesn't work when I switch it on... All the others lamps I've used just have to be turned on from the Visualization panel. But when I do this with an Altman Par64, nothing happens... What's going wrong? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Interesting... Do you have the same Altman symbols?: VNSP, NSP, MFL & WFL? Quote Link to comment
Horst M.
Hi, I've tried with the Altman PAR (MFL) I had to assign a Focus Point to get the Light, and then I relised, that the Spot didn't hit tis Focus Point... I had to check the draw Beam Option, and the Spot moved to the correct Postion. The Potion of the Spot stayed there, even if I unchecked the Drawbeamoption.. Strange. or not? Quote Link to comment
