Colin Brown Posted October 19, 2001 Share Posted October 19, 2001 Hello Just purchased VW Architect with LandMark and have installed on my machine. However, when launched the Serial Numbers Dialog box does not come up and I can only run the programme in demo mode. I am using a dongle (which is inserted into the USB port on the back of my machine). I have tried re-installing 4 or 5 times and have trashed the preferences/re-built the desktop to no avail. Any idea what is going wrong? Mac OS 9.2.1US, 466 G3 with 448 mb RAM UK Dongle Many thanks. Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa Posted October 19, 2001 Share Posted October 19, 2001 Colin, I would suggest re-installing the dongle drivers from the services folder of the VectorWorks CD, or downloading them from ftp://ftp.ealaddin.com/pub/HASP/machasp_cd10/Mac_Driver.sit.hqx Does the light on the dongle turn on? There is also a possibility that you simply have a bad dongle. In that case you can contact your local distributor. Since my original post I checked with Gomark the UK VW distributor and they think the dongle is dodgy and are sending me another one. FWIW I have always felt that the dongle 'solution' is a bad move in terms of moving VW forward in the UK. This rather re-inforces my prejudice. Quote Link to comment
