Yancka
What's your practice with elements which are spreading in height over more than 1 layer? (Quick pic of design in the attachment) I have custom window/door/entrance symbol and I'm inserting it in lower layers wall. The specific wall is 2 layers heigh. So this symbol makes necessary cutout and looks fine in elevation view. I don't succeed to figure out how to make upper layer's plan view so it would look as needed in plan view but wouldn't mess up elevation & other views. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
Lower floor plan: I make the wall the height/shape required, with symbol, just as you have drawn it. This avoids a junction line between walls in elevation. Upper floor plan: I draw the wall and symbol in 2D. Quote Link to comment
Yancka
Upper floor plan: I draw the wall and symbol in 2D. How do you handle 0 height wall appearing in 3D views? In elevation view I see it as a horizontal line. In isometric views it has also texture. The only solution I can imagine is extra class for this specific wall which would be displayed in plan viewports and wouldn't in others... Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
2 ways (not to put words in David's mouth, however...): 1) Put these objects in their own discreet class and make the class invisible in those views where you donlt want to see it. 2) Place the 2d objects in the Annotations of the Upper Level Plan VP.
