James Dawson Design
Hi, When I bring a preconfigured plant across to a drawing it's tag settings appear as I set then up, i.e. tag bubble, latin name, common name. As soon as I change the plant's class (it comes in on class none) the bubble becomes invisible (it is still configured as displayed in the Obj Inf dialog). Setting it back to the original, or any other class does not make it return. Thanks in advance james PS: using VW2010 SP1 on snow leopard Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Two things I think In Edit Plant Definition what Class are your Plant Tags in? Do you have that Class turned on? Plants can be tricky to set up Quote Link to comment
James Dawson Design
PLANT DEFINITION IS DEFAULT VALUE, HOWEVER I HAVE PLAYED WITH CHANGING IT. YES, THE CLASS IS ON Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Eric Gilbey, PLA Posted December 17, 2009 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 17, 2009 With the plants selected, at the bottom of the attributes palette, click the arrow pointing down, giving you the attributes pull-down (utility menu)...then select "Use Default Attributes". This should restore the tag features you seem to be missing. Quote Link to comment
James Dawson Design
Awesome Eric, I have just been on the phone to Ozzie and he experienced the same behaviour as me. I will let him know. Thanks James Quote Link to comment
James Dawson Design
Eric, I am trying to find the root cause and appear to have resolved that it may be class related. i.e. Each time I change class for the plant I have to reset to the default attributes. Do you have any idea on what I can do to my classes to save me having to set the default attributes each time? Thanks James Quote Link to comment
James Dawson Design
The disappearing behavior appears to have gone when I un-select "Use at Creation" in the Class attributes. I guess this is what I have to do for classes that hold plants? regards james Quote Link to comment
