Snapshot of Screen?

I'm just wondering if it's possible to print an image of your screen, showing toolbars, popup windows, the arrow, etc? I'd like to do this to place the image in an office standards booklet I'm creating. It would show new comers what do do in certain situations and I think it would be easier to understand if it's a snapshot the screen.

Print Screen key will copy a snapshot of the screen to the clipboard in Windows. Not knowing your OS I don't know if this helps. There is also third party software that will do this.

Shift Cmd 3 on a mac

screenshot lands on your desktop

On a Mac - Shift+Cmd+4 allows you to draw a marquee around your any part of your screen, this will appear on your desktop (just like shift+cmd+3).
