kma
Im working in an office running both VW12 and VW2010. Is it possible to save VW2010 down as a VW12 version and for the drawings to be openable in both versions without having to 'export as' each time? Thanks Quote Link to comment
IanH
Running two versions is pretty standard stuff, however file formats are quite different (and between 2010 and vw12 you will find the file extension different) so files will need to be exported each time to the older version. This also means that some functions may not translate very well, so don't expect full 360'ing. Personally I would not recommend using different versions of VW for the same project, but sometime it is unavoidable. Quote Link to comment
WhoCanDo
If you read the licence agreement in VW2010, section 1.4 (b) & © you may find a solution. On a network two VW's with the same VW licence number won't work at the same time but will work one at a time. You must comply with the licence agreement. Quote Link to comment
kma
Thanks We recently bought the most current version for a new machine, hence running both versions, and assumed that we would be able to share drawings between the two machines without difficulty. Schoolboy error! thanks again. Quote Link to comment
