Peter Phillips
Sometimes, but not always, when I extend the length of some insulation that I have drawn with the insulation tool, it flips and I have to use the mirror tool to flip it back again. I have VW 2008. Is this a glitch with this version. It used to happen in the previous version I had so I was surprised to see that it still existed in 2008. I've put up with it for a year but I'm getting a bit fed up with it! Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Yes, it's a bug. Quite an irritating one at that. Don't know if it still occurs in 2010, but I will try to check later... Quote Link to comment
Peter Phillips
Thanks for the confirmation. I'm surprised it wasn't corrected. Quote Link to comment
Kool Aid
My problem with this tool is that there is a toggle ?Size to Wall Length?, but that does not seem to do anything. The fabulous Hot-Air Help does not know that this tool even exists. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
The tool seems to be stable in 010. Petri, I'll try to find out what the intent of the "Size to Wall Length" command is. By the way, is it convention to draw insulation IN PLAN? Typically, here in the home of the brave and land of the free, we draw insulation in sectional views. Wes Edited December 2, 2009 by Wes Gardner Quote Link to comment
Tom G.
I've drawn insulation in plan view to show sound-wall designation. Quote Link to comment

Batt insulation (or the relevant substitute) shoud be able to defined as a wall style component, shown in plans and sections at least. Come on, Wes! I could easily simulate a wall incorporating my insulation tool. I could even use your wall style system, just make it better, as a matter of hours. But I can't get it to show IN SECTIONS.
