wsma003
Just wondering if anyone knows how to create a fill in between selected lines that are separate. I understand there is the compose tool that can then have a fill attributed, but I am trying to find something like the archiCAD tool where you can just click on a space with the fill tool and it fills to the closest boundary? Any tips or thoughts would be great, Cheers Will Quote Link to comment
Dexie
Just select all lines and Modify > Cimbine into surface Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
i love the 2D Polygon Tool. In the second mode (paintpot), you click in the middle and Vectorworks will flood the area for you. I use this a lot. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
I will check to make sure this is included in my Guide to Productivity. I know this technique is in the Essential Tutorial Manual Quote Link to comment
IanH
2D polygon can take some time with more complex outlines. Also worth saving your work prior to use as its not unknown for VW to get itself 'confused' and windows mark it as not responding. Plus groups and layers can affect its operation.
