Link a camera view to a viewport

I'd like to see the ability to link a camera view to a viewport.

It's often easier to set up a 3d view with a renderworks camera. You can specify and alter the location of the camera / height etc. You can then make that view into a viewport but once that's done, the camera is redundant.

I'd like to be able to alter the camera view and gave that alter the viewport also.

I'll agree with this 100-fold. Seems silly to not have that functionality. Or at least have an option for auto-update camera view on the viewport OIP.

The same would also be handy for Saved Views for those of us trying to use cameras for animation purposes. At least make it an option.

So do I. Unfortunately, somehow I think we're not going to have it. It appears that a VP is not a ?true? object (although I'd love to be proven wrong!) and thus lacks behavioural means required for this.

(Just spent the best part of yesterday making new viewports?)

This would be an amazing feature.

However just double checking that you all know that you can great a viewport from a camera view.

1. Set your renderworks camera

2. click display camera view-

3. Click View - Create Viewport.

Hope this helps. I know its not as good as linking but its a start.
