taliho
Since installing 2009 a few months ago - I can't get a full screen guide line when I use the 2D locus tool. (very frustrating when I need to line up things) I also can't find all the standard Resources libraries that I have in 2008. Anyone else dealing with this - or will it all come back in 2010? thanks Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
I'm not sure what you mean by full screen guide lines. For guides you can create a line and with it selected go to Menu bar>Modify>Guides>Make Guide. The libraries are located in the Vectorworks folder, Libraries folder. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Double click on the Object Snap icon in the top right hand corner of the Snaps Palette. Choose Smart Points. Make sure that Horizontal/Vertical Extensions and Extension Lines are checked. KM Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I think Taliho is talking about the old Snap to Loci preference that actually was Show Extension Lines from All Loci and Let Me Snap To Them. This does seem to have been removed in VW2009 and 2010. As Kevin says above, check out and learn about the new option in the Snaps (formerly constraints) palette. Quote Link to comment
ionw
Taliho, The preference in 2008 and earlier for the infinite extension lines from 2D Loci points was removed. That said, the temporary extension lines Kevin references do work very well. Did you bring forward your 2008 workspace to 2009? if so you will need to add in the standard libraries to the Resource Browser. You should be able to test this out by temporarily switching workspaces to a default workspace (Design, Architect....) HTH, ion Quote Link to comment
Gytis
Though the temporary extensions lines DO work very well, sometimes it is nice and comforting to have the old-school, fixed, permanent, infinite lines. Solution in previous discussions, toggle extension lines: Comm Board # 116987 A simple menu plug-in is attached. Not tested in 2010. Quote Link to comment
