animations go blank during save process

I am running Vista. My Vectorworks Designer Series 2008 'move along path' animations often go blank at various points during the save process. Tech support had me reinstall my Vectorworks software in my program files rather than my program (x86) files because the (x86) realm is 64 bit and the 32 bit program file realm is more compatible with 2008. I am still encountering the problem. Any ideas?
