nocolorblue
Currently in VW 2008 or 2009 when I insert the active instrument or accessory into my plot it switches from the active symbol to a S4 26 Deg with draw beam on, focused to focus point D2. Tried deleting my record formats, no success. As a workaround I can replace it with the active symbol from the object info palette, but that gets old extremely fast. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
At some point the the life of the drawing, somebody used the Create Similar Object tool on an S4 26 deg with draw beam on focused at D2. It's a Spotlight bug. DON'T use Create Similar Object on lighting instruments. There is a fix. Contact Kevin Linzey (he's the moderator of the Spotlight forum - klinzey) for a script that will fix it. hth michaelk ps. great screen name. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
hmmmm Not sure I should have named Kevin specifically as the "guy in charge of the Spotlight bug." I'm sure anyone at tech support could help you. Kevin is the one who helped me when I ran into the same problem. As I understand it, there is a bug in Spotlight instruments that doesn't allow the default settings to be changed back after that command is run. It's an easy fix. Run one vectorscript and all is well. michaelk Quote Link to comment
nocolorblue
Ended up calling tech support but they had no idea what script I was talking about. Ended up doing a design layer import into a new file. Lost my sheet layers but worth it at this point. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
I'm amazed by that. See this thread: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=24870&Number=117936#Post117936 michaelk Quote Link to comment
nocolorblue
Somehow in that few months tech support lost it, at least the shift rotation I ran into. Kevin emailed it to me a few days after my last post. Too late to go back now, c'est la vie. Quote Link to comment
