brudgers
This tool will open an external file under windows and therefore launch the application associated with it. For example opening a .dwg file will launch autocad (handy for cleaning up exports) and opening a file of .txt will open notepad (handy for editing scripts, etc). Notes: 1. The tool is windows only. Because it is untested on OSX, it traps for it and will issue alert before terminating. 2. By default the file open dialog only displays file types containing vectorscript, however changing "files of type" to "all files (*.*)" will allow any file to be opened. 3. Because of Vectorworks arbitrary internal distinction between tools and commands, after clicking on the icon, you must click in the work area to run the tool. 4. The category for the tool is "00temp_tools." After installation this can be changed with the vectorscript plug-in editor. Quote Link to comment
