Jeffrey W Ouellette
Mike, Please submit a bug on this and any other IFC issues you run into. As I've said before, we're still trying to straighten out all the kinks. I'm curious, though, about the level of detail that you are trying to model and apparently exchange via IFC. Is there a specific reason? I'm not aware of any certified Model View Definition that requires this, though there are a few competing proposals. Quote Link to comment
digitalcarbon
jeff, please see my email to you about an upcoming CSI BIM webinar. no reason for the model level of detail, just some thing i had hanging around and thought it was small/simple enough to do an exchange. the pier image was featured on the last webinar and i proposed that we set up a back and forth exchange vw & revit using IFC just to see how it would work on a small scale. then share the findings on a future webinar. i know very little about IFC and was just jumping in and thrashing around. nice job on your modern building/convert to IFC/import project. i learned a lot being able to dismantle a project and see how it is done is very useful Quote Link to comment
