G_Hannigan
How did you export from VW? I am using XL 6 and have exported from VW 9 using Export DWG/DXF (14 & 2000) with some success. The main problem I've had with large files is that the importd file creates a HUGE number of object listed as Part1 ...PartN. Identifying the parts is very time consuming. I wish NNA would create an export link similar to Artlantis. This software is part of the "family". They may not to make Renderworks obsolete. Quote Link to comment
Sean Flaherty
Have you tried exporting as VRML from RenderWorks? This seems to produce a much better result in Cinema 4D than DXF/DWG. Best Regards, Sean Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
I also work with Architectural Desktop 3.3. A file exported from ADT 3.3 to XL 6 using the 3ds (3d Studio) format works great. Layers and objects remain intact - walls display and are listed as walls, columns as cols, etc. VW objects are converted to individual polys that are listed in some arcane order. I bought XL6 because of the deal NNA offered last year. Now I am using it with your competitor's CAD program. Quote Link to comment
