Robert Darden
How can I draw dashed lines to represent walls to be demolished? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Lots of ways. I usually use a wall set to have a height of zero and placed into a class called DEMO which has no fill and dashed lines. You could also use, um, dashed lines ;-) Quote Link to comment
Robert Darden
Ok - where do you / I access a dashed line commend? Quote Link to comment
Rossford
The preloaded attribute palette should have several, along with different line widths, etc. Draw the line and click the second area (which is the perimeter line of any object) and it should pop up the menu. Select a dash line you like and there you go. Of course, at some point, you will probably want to make it "create at creation" and in a demo class. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Robert D.: I don't mean to be mean, but this is such a basic function in VW's and I am shocked that you (or any user) could be confused about it. Have you read the manual? Have you had any training? Again, not to be harsh, but VW's is very powerful tool, and like any tool it is pretty useless if you don't know how to use it... Having invested in the program itself, maybe you would consider investing in some type of formal training?? That said: The ATTRIBUTE PALETTE is one way (the primary way) the control an object's graphic attributes. If nothing else, perhaps you can read about it in the HELP... One can also control attributes BY CLASS which is also very very basic to VW's (and extraordinarily powerful). Hope that helps... Quote Link to comment
brudgers
How can I draw dashed lines to represent walls to be demolished? I recommend looking at the Alexandria Laundry Lofts project rather than reinventing the wheel. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
I use a all style for existing walls and another wall style for demo walls. that way I can change the wall style and the graphic style of the wall updates as well. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
If you have my Vectorworks Architect Tutorial manual, you should see how to create your wall styles, and how to use them to create the different walls you want. Quote Link to comment
