Boriqua
I have some resin panels in a design mounted and backlit. I want to silk screen images on to the resin. How can I show that in my rendering . I could take an image and make an image prop but that wouldnt give the piece a sense of the transluscency (sp) If you know resin with silk screen you will know what I am talking about. Thanks once again for any help! Alex www.cerebralacrobatics.com Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Knowing your version of Vectorworks will help to answer. Put this info and computer specs including OS in a signature. Click on the My Stuff link at the top, Edit Profile. Quote Link to comment

J. Johnson
I would suggest using 3d Polygons for the silk screening. If I recall correctly, that's what I used to show a historical painted sign on the face of a building that needed to show up properly in renderings. If the polys don't work, then extrude them 1/64" or something and apply whatever texture/translucency you require. Have fun- Jake Quote Link to comment
Boriqua
you converted an image to polygons in Vectorworks? Alex Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Good day Boriqua No, You would create a 3D polygon and apply the image. I created a water texture in this way and it worked well instead of having the look of a solid extrude, it had the translucency it needed. Quote Link to comment
