jadler
I have an elevation that was made by drawing in plan. I am trying to paste the 2D elevation drawing into a 3D elevation view in a separate file. I'm having difficulties with this as it is pasting in the plan x-y coordinates. Any way around this? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Paste it and then move it where you want? Maybe group it first before you copy and paste it? How about Paste in Place? Quote Link to comment
HOUCAD
Jadler, is the elevation view you are trying to paste into just a view set in a design layer or is it a viewport? Quote Link to comment
bcd
HI Jadler, Have you thought about Convert to 3d Polys then paste and Rotate 3d about the x axis to stand the plan view up into the x-z plane. Quote Link to comment
Keith W
I THINK you're saying that you drew the elevation, from scratch, in 2D, in plan. And I THINK (being a novice) that you'll have to do a rotate-3D to paste it into an elevation. The paste function remembers the xyz orientation of the object (that's obvious if you think about it). Or, I completely misunderstood the problem. Keith Quote Link to comment
