jfmarch
Hi, I have a problem with snapping (gotta like that word) in VW 2009 SP4. I cannot seem to snap one line to another that is not a midpoint, endpoint or align point. For example, if I want to move a line to another line, I can't get the snap to work to the target line unless it is one of the above noted points. I do have all the buttons on on the constraints palette except for snap to grid and snap to tangent. Is there a setting that I am missing? Edited June 12, 2009 by jfmarch Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
It sounds like you are missing a setting in SmartCursor Settings. Quote Link to comment
Chad McNeely
Double click one of the constraint pallete boxes, which opens the constraints dialogue window. Under the "object" category, make sure "nearest point on edge" is checked. The vw2009 default setting is to have this unchecked just to mess with your head, or to make sure you spend some time getting aquainted with these settings. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
Thanks, Chad, that did the trick. Quote Link to comment
