After talking with tech support and others, there appears to be no easy way of making projection screens look like projection screens and not paintings hanging on the wall.
I came from an AutoCad based system that allowed me to simply set an emission value for a screen or TV, and the unit would look realistic on render.
Right now the only option appears to be hours of rigging up a light and trimming it's pattern to fit perfectly on the screen. What a shame...
