Don Chin
I am having a baffling little problem with the 3d modelling of a small house. When I use the Fit Walls to Roof for the front gable wall, the right side of the wall jumps in slightly and a thin sliver of the wall remains at the original wall height. I am pretty sure the walls and roof are all aligned. Actually I run into this problem quite a bit. Is it a setting or sloppy drafting? Attached is the file of the house. I left the gable wall at its original height. Thanks Donald Quote Link to comment
brudgers
You will encounter this sort of issue regularly if you use auto-join walls. It seems to me that auto-join and fit walls to roof are mutually exclusive options. Quote Link to comment
j.christ
Adding to Brudgers note...I have found having the roof on the same layer as the walls creates issues when fitting walls to roof. I create a roof on the wall layer but move it to a new layer prior to fitting walls to roof and never seem to have a problem. Quote Link to comment
Don Chin
Thanks for your advice. It is not a consistent problem, so I am resigned to making the wall short a 1/16" if it happens. Quote Link to comment
