incomplete lines: bug or error?

Here's something for the bugwatchers...

I have some polygons where the lines are not showing all the way around (refer images). The problem showed up when I was converting polylines to property lines, but is now propagating to polygons/lines.

The problem is occurring randomly with closed:

? polylines

? polygons

? property lines

And yes I've tried with GDI/transparency on and off - no changes there either.

lines are ok, but lines are pretty useless in a subdivision plan.

Has anyone seen this before? Any solutions.

It's the dashed line in the class preferences.

Each polygon is almost big enough for 1 dash. If that makes any sense.

Edit the class and choose a dashed line with smaller dashes.

... assuming you wanted the line to be dashed.

The setting in the first picture yields the result in the second picture.

I had imported the file from sb else, and didn't realise the solid line I selected was actually a dash (refer included image) - it would be better interface design, imho, if the dialog showed any dashed lines as dashed.

Anyway thanks again for solving it

The dash style is so long it shows as solid. I've never seen a dash that long and it certainly isn't typical. If you think it's useful to have a dash like that file a wish to have it show differently in the Attributes palette.
