Door schedules and multiple files

Is there a way to schedule doors from multiple files in one schedule? Can a path to another file be added to the criteria?

Also, is there a way to sort the schedule by door number without having to add a 0 when you have more than 10 doors?

I would rather not have to start my door numbers at 0001 just to get them to sort properly. Is there a way to trick VectorWoks into knowing the difference between 1, 10, 100?

you could set up a Workgroup Reference with the other files.

you could set up a design layer viewport, on a new layer maybe, that refeerences the other drawing files, then set your criteria to look only at that layer

The Door Number field is stored as an alphanumeric string. That means that it sorts the same way the alphabet would.

So, unfortunately, no, there is no way to get it to sort properly without using the zero padding prefix.

Maybe someday.

I've had luck in the past using a space instead of a zero in front of door and window tags. Haven't tried it in 2009 yet.
