sigurd
I'm currently trying to generate perspectival line drawings, complete with exterior surface patterns/hatches, ie bricks, weatherboards etc. Is it possible to hatch the surface of a wall in 3d? When using classes, it hatches them only in plan view. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You can't use hatches in 3D, you would need to use a texture and render the perspective. Quote Link to comment
sigurd
I guess I'll need to use Rhino & Lino plug in to achieve these types of drawings. Cheers Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
there is a way to do it: http://web.me.com/jpickup1/Site/podcasts/Entries/2007/9/16_047_-_Line_Textures_on_Elevations.html Quote Link to comment
sigurd
Thanks Jonathon, I had done this earlier, only I exploded/ converted the walls to 3d polys and then the hatch, and moved it in space. I ran into difficult territory when it came to curved and angled forms. Quote Link to comment
