MattG
I am somewhat new to the 3d landscape in that I have typically worked with basic solids and now I am trying to make a tow along for a motorcycle. I have pictures of it front, back, left, top. I scaled them to be roughly the dimensions they are. Now where I am at is figuring sense it is symitrical I would draw half of it and mirror then add the solids. I traced the top view using a polyline extruded it to a proper height then converted to nurbs surfaces and have been using my 3d reshape tool to try and reshape it. I do not know if this is much of a question, but more advice. Does this sound like a good way of approaching this? I am finding I can get the perimiter shape pretty close, but then I try to get the top to drape over properly and after I increased the u and v degree, but there are just a lot of points. Which is good for the look, but hard after I move them to determine which is which. Thoughts? I am attaching a picture of a similar trailer and a screen shot of where I am at. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Have you tried the "Drape Surfaces" procedure ? Quote Link to comment
MattG
I selected the nurbs surfaces and ran that. When I did all I got was a rectangle with a lot of verricies that was on the ground plane if you will. Maybe I did it wrong. Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Is Drape Surfaces available in VW12.5? If so Where do I find it? Quote Link to comment
