team
Hello, I have a lot of drawings in different page-sizes (from DIN A3 to DIN-A1) and I want to Export pdf in DIN A4 from each file. So I need a VS that sets the page size to DIN A4 and the page scale (depending on original page size to 71, 50 or 35%). The pdf-export then can be done manually. Is this possible? Does someone has an idea how to do it? Thanks mika Quote Link to comment
_c_
You can set the generic page boundary, the page tiling (sort of), the printing scale factor, but you have no access to the printer nor to the margins. VS is poor on this field. Leave it. orso Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
You can set the generic page boundary, the page tiling (sort of), the printing scale factor, but you have no access to the printer nor to the margins. VS is poor on this field. Leave it. orso That's why you should not print directly from VW. It's easier to set the page to the true paper size and export to pdf. In the pdf, you can print without scaling and get the correct result. Just make sure you keep margins in mind when setting up your drawing. Another problem is that when you print directly and want two pages next to each other, the pages you see are the printable area's and not the exact pages, that's why it's hard to set up the presentation layer because every printer has other margins, so go for the real paper size on your presentation layers, and export to pdf. It's the only true way.(And correct and best way to do it). Quote Link to comment
IanH
Plus Vectorworks is not colour management aware so if you have a calibrated printer, you need to use Acrobat (or another application) Quote Link to comment
