windows and doors

When editing doors or windows, only items that appear on the object info pane can be edited for multiple selected doors and windows. If something in the settings needs to be modified it will only change one object at a time.

This makes it very tedious to modify all the doors or windows when it is needed. We should be able to select all windows that need to be changed and be able to change any of the settings available for all selected windows or doors.

It would be nice to have a style based settings similar to the walls where all windows of the same style are controlled by changing the attributes of the style.

The Custom Modifcation command (in the Tools menu) will allow you to access and change the settings through the dialog box for multiple PIOs at the same time.

We just tried this at the users group this month and it works for both doors and windows. It did not work in VW2008.

The test was done on VW2009 SP2 Mac.

Hmm, I just tried the custom modification command, set it to select object type window. It found all the windows and brought up a copy of the properties pallet but when I select settings nothing happens.

I was wrong. The Settings button works for Doors in the Custom Selection, but it does not work for Windows.
