There was a new feature in v2008 that allows one to inject a symbol into another file. I've found extremely useful for getting new symbols into the office standard without significantly disrupting my project workflow.
It's still difficult, however, to get my colleagues to pass on any useful resources they've produced as part of their projects, for inclusion in the office standard.
To overcome this what I think would be really useful is a command that allows one to share symbols/groups/any objects via email.
So the workflow might be:
Select symbol, group or any object
Choose to 'share via email'
Default email program opens a new email with Vectorworks file attached that includes objects selected in step 1
