Need Update

It is indeed frustrating. Can't figure out why non-Nemetschek employees are apologizing for the company's silence. As far as deploying only when the product is ready, 9.0 itself isn't. There are so many bugs that cause crashes that it's a stretch to say that it is ready for prime time.

One annoying crash-producer is an attempt to change fore- and background colors in the Attribute Palette.

Another annoyance is the lack of backward (and forward) compatibility with the simple door generator between v8 and v9.

Also, what's with the preferences set? I just wanna draw. Why the error messages?

To be fair, there are many useful improvements in v9, but the added complexity of the application removes from Vectorworks much of its former user-friendlyness.

Hope the fix is in the works - soon. I've (reluctantly) chosen to go back to v8.

I have the imression, that Nemetschek bought Diehlgraphsoft in order to get them away from the market - maybe the want to sell their horrible Allplan.
