jkrentz
Hugo, We do a lot of transfering back and forth between AutoCAD and Vectorworks and can tell you there is no way to avoid this. AutoCAD does not use fills (only hatch) therefore any fills will be eliminated. A work around is to use hatch in Vectorworks then translate. I have had good luck tranfering most hatches. Hugo Hern?ndez
We have problems exporting our drawings from Vector 8.5.2. to DWG, with the objects that are color filled. The converted objects looks transparent loosing their color fills (black or white). Does anyone knows how to avoid this problem? Guest
In the future VW will support the "solid hatch" for AC14 and higher that will allow us to support most solid fills. (Unfortunately, AC does not let you set an object color that is the same as the background color, so white (or black) "masking" objects will become visible, unless we find a workaround.) For now, there is no workaround, but on the other hand most AC users won't be expecting fills. Quote Link to comment
