ewalker
I am doing a residential design with a small annex referenced in. The same wall style is used in both files (the referenced file and the master file). Each time that I open the master file, or update the referenced file from the master file, I get the message shown. Can anyone please enlighten me as to the cause of this message and what I can do to fix it? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
rkraybill
What is the nature of the reference? Absolute or relative? Is is possible that a folder name in the hierarchy has changed since you set up this reference? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tolu Posted April 24, 2009 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 24, 2009 In the master file, do you see a Record Format named "NNA#3__NNA_Wall_Style_Format"? If you do, delete the format. You should stop getting the message. Regards, Tolu Quote Link to comment
ewalker
Tolu: Found and deleted the resource from the Master File. I no longer get the messages. Strangely enough, the resource was listed under 'sketch styles' in the resource browser. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Hans-Olav
E.Walker This broken reference messages happens when you change name or edit resources in the parent file and the old one gets obsolete in the child file. I have made an habit to ?Purge Unused Objects? from time to time in the child file to keep it light and clean. Kind Regards _________ Hans-Olav Reykjavik Iceland www.tst.is Quote Link to comment
