Ozzie
Select all the lines and then use your 2D Reshape Tool Quote Link to comment
Gytis
Yes, but just be sure to have the Unrestricted Interactive Scaling Mode selected in the Mode Bar (two lines) Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Good point - was not in front of VW Quote Link to comment
Miguel Barrera
Select all the lines to be extended or shortened, select the connect/combine tool, press the Alt key throughout the operation, click on a selected line and then on the line to extend. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
It sounds like Vincent might be asking about the Combine/Connect tool working on multiple lines at once. If that's the case, I think the answer is no. You can only Combine/Connect two objects to each other at once. michaelk Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Select all the lines to be extended, choose the Connect Combine tool in Single Object Connect mode, hold the Alt key, click on the end point of any of the lines to be extended, click on the line you want them extended to. 1 Quote Link to comment

HOUCAD
Is the alt/option extendtrick documented anywhere? I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Vectorworks Help. Connect Combine Tool. Single Object Connect. Subheading Connecting Multiple Objects. This is one of the "tricks" that needs to be made much more prominent, especially for new users. Quote Link to comment
HOUCAD
Ah yes I looked but didn't see that line. I just tested this out with arcs and it worked fine but when I tried extending a polyline my Vectorworks locked up big time. It has been churning for a few minutes so far. It finally finished and I can see the highlight of polyline but not the pline itself. I am not sure what it actually did. When I zoom it locks up again. I had asked about this a while ago and I dont think this trick came up. This works like the Autocad extend command which is what I was looking for. Quote Link to comment
