brent kjernisted
Which of these renderers is superior. How does vray work with c4d. Quote Link to comment
brent kjernisted
I did some research on this and determined it is good to have both of these. Right now advanced render is the only one that will do baked textures which can be transferred to vray. Baked textures allow for quicker render times. Quote Link to comment
Ariel
You're referring to the vrayforc4d plugin (http://www.vrayforc4d.com/), right? Vray is definitely more superior but comes with a steeper learning curve. If you're just starting with C4d, I would suggest that you learn AR first. AR already does excellent renders and may already work for you. Transitioning to vray wouldn't really be a big jump from there. hth, ariel Quote Link to comment
Ariel
AR = Advanced Render. It's the rendering module you can purchase with the basic cinema 4d package --- somewhat similar to how Renderworks work in VW. Quote Link to comment
RubenH
Advanced Render is far superior on R11. You can match the quality of vray, without problems. I readed somewhere that AR R11 is developed in conjuction with the people of VRay. Quote Link to comment
