VinceHollywood
So I have been working on a project using about 100 lighting instruments. I have recently turned on lite fog in the background layer and I have 4 or 5 instruments (ON) on my stage. Later after doing some other things in the program I tried looking at a camera view of the rendering again and none of the lighting instruments would work, but they were working before. I checked their properties and they are all one and should be working. Does anyone have any ideas? Quote Link to comment
gmm18
I don't want to offend you by suggesting the obvious...but I'll do it anyway...just to get started... Check to be sure that the class of the light objects is turned visible, you mentioned that the lights are ON, but the class must also be ON. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Vince Do you have "lit fog" selected for all the instruments? VW doesn't produce a volume of fog to shoot light beams through, it creates the fog only in the beams of light that have lit fog checked. So trying to assign a RW background doesn't work. It sounds like you might be going down that road. btw: Make sure that the lights w/ lit fog checked are not set for a falloff of none. You will wait a long time for an unusable rendering. VinceHollywood
AH that is what I was doing wrong. I had the fixtures on but none of the lit fog options were on. I thought by making the RW background "Lite Fog" would put fog into the overall file. Now I know that isn't true, thanks for your help. Oh and yes, or course I had the 12 classes active gmm18.
