sfatelier
This morning when I tried to open a 2009 file, I got this message. I reinstalled twice and got a file to open once, then I got this message this again: "Vectorworks xml librairies failed to load. Please reinstall Vectorworks." What's going on? How do I get past this? Help! Quote Link to comment
islandmon
This could be a .plist, permissions or binding issue related to the installed directory filepaths. Restart in "Safe mode" then run disk utilities ( or use Onyx or Cocktail ). Try VW again if the problem persists, then move the Preference file to the desktop and try again ( have your SN# ready ). sfatelier
Doesn't help me. I didn't think you could do a safe mode on a mac. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
I've experienced a similar problem. Try starting Vectorworks first from its application icon and then once it is open you should be able to open your file. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
OSX >restart holding down Shift Key = Safe Mode. Very useful for installing & debugging. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
I have tried both. I found the first option works for 2008 but it doesn't for 2009. I tried starting in the safe mode but it still happened. Don't understand the part about running the Onyx or Cocktail disk utility. Is this a downloadable program? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
