Simon MacMull
The there a way of linking 3D objects in space i.e. if i draw a mannequin how can i make sure the relationship between the lower leg and the upper leg is constant if i move the upper leg around. If anyone has ideas i would be very grateful thanks Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Perhaps, you're asking for a 'pinning function' which doesn't currently exist in the code { post your request on the wishlist, please }. The best you can do is rotate an Object or Group around a 3DLocus. Or use the Modify>Rotate 2D/3D to indicate the center of rotation within the coordinate system. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The other term for this is parametric constraints. VW2009 only has 2D parametric constraints. I have my fingers crossed for VW2010. If you are interested in just manequins, then you might want to look at a different product. Poser is designed to to just what you are talking about and make 3D humans. I think a free trial is available at http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/poser/index.html Quote Link to comment
