genie
Is there a way to rename "automatic classes" generated by plug-in objects and have the subsequent objects created use the renamed classes? e.g. When inserting a door, 'ceiling-main' and 'sills' are created. If I edit the names of these classes, the same ones will be generated again when I insert a second door. Thanks! VW 2009 Mac 10.5 Quote Link to comment
Stan Rostas
Nope, unless you edit the Plug-in object, which is locked. Quote Link to comment
panta rhei
Actually, not quite so. If the plug-in has been created with VectorScript, one can change the value lists of pop-ups & radio buttons, even when the script is locked. This may have unexpected consequences, if there is something related to these hard-coded in the PIO script. One can also assign a default class to the object, not to mention default values to be used in new files. Unfortunately, more and more of NNA's plug-ins are created with the C++ SDK API and the user cannot change anything. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Or you can go thru the hassle of exploding ( Ungrouping ) the PIO then re-assign /modify Classes & Attributes then convert it to a specific Symbol for that particular object making sure to set the correct insertion point(s).
