dwbtd
so I have objects spaced out along a curve and I want to dimension the distance between each on the curve not on a straight line between them - any ideas on how to do this? thanks Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Curves are usually dimensioned via notation : Radius=, Angle=, Length=. All this info is available via the Curve OIP. The Chord is normally dimensioned using the Dimension Tool. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
see this post rom McNeely: http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=117821#Post117821 In a plan view, trace the surface to be dimensioned with an arc (red in attched example), copy the arc length from the OIP, convert the arc to a dimension (use the line style that looks like "---XX---"), move the radial dimension off the object as appropriate, uncheck "Show Dimension Value", paste into the "Leader" field the arc length copied previously, add witness lines, done Quote Link to comment
