Dean Isham
I just downloaded 2009. In 2008 there was a way to make all the surfaces of a wall have the same texture by using the info palette. When I try to draw a wall in 2009 the only way to get both sides of a wall to have both the same texture is to change each side one at a time. Is there a better way? I tried to make a new wall type with the textures i wanted but that did not work either. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Stan Rostas
This is one way, set up class to have the textures then set the wall style to be by class with the Textures as shown under the Render Tab Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Luis M Ruiz Posted February 3, 2009 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 3, 2009 Having the opportunity to apply textures to every face of a wall offers a great deal of flexibility that we did not have before, for example: create a new texture in your browser, some neutral dark color, then apply it to every "top wall" of a project, you'll see how a floor plan in isometric explains itself better, (see attachment) Quote Link to comment
Dean Isham
I think the new option of placing a texture on the top of a wall is great! I teach students how to use Vectorworks for the first time and not having the option to change the texture to all with one mouse click is very frustrating for new students when it takes so many more keystrokes.
