Ray Libby
Your workspace file is in the workspace folder here: /Users//Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/2009/ Quote Link to comment
MattG
As someone doing a similar change over how will scripts that have been inserted into my workspace transfer? I have a number of scripts to perform different tasks and I don't want to lose them. Matt Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
I think scripts behave like any other resource. Just open a file that has the scripts and then add them to your current file via the resource browser. Perhaps there's an easier way... Anyone?? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Scripts aren't inserted into the workspace, they are files in the Plug-Ins folder, you can back them up from there. Quote Link to comment
MattG
But I have put a number of scripts from there into my workspace and assigned hotkeys to them. My hope is I don't have to go back and redo that. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You can transfer your custom workspace to new versions (VW2008 to VW2009 for example) but it's not recommended. It can cause problems with plug-ins that have been reworked by NNA and you also may miss new tools. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
If you have given them shortcuts, then you have made Vectorscript Plug-in menu commands of them. They will be in your user folder. Actually what you want to do is move your entire users folder to the new machine and you will get all of your custom work spaces and custom scripts/plug-ins at one time. The locations of the users folder depends on what platform you are on. xx in the following paths are the version of Vectorworks (i.e. 2008 or 2009). Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\ xx\ Windows Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\xx\ Macintosh: /Users//Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/xx/ Quote Link to comment
