cad@sggsa
*RANT ON* Busy drawing up some flightcases for the lights we just bought (130) and using the symbols from the libraries. THERE ALL THE SAME!! as in the 15-30 compared to 25-50 and the standard body are all the same. Was hoping to use them to reference the measurements I got from a source, as the 15-30 is a much longer body. AND the hanging bracket is not big enough to clear the light for full rotation....meaning you cant point the light directly down to the floor without the bracket going into the actual body....GRRRRR!!!! *RANT OFF* Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Carl Even in VW2009, all the 3D geometry of all the S4 zooms is the default ETC S4 Body. Sometimes I feel like Steve Shelley's advertising department, but I think his symbols are more accurate. http://www.fieldtemplate.com/ michaelk Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Thank you Michaelk I'm so frustrated as space on a truss is ALWAYS an issue with our Lighting Tech guy....If it's wrong blame the Designer...ME Sound like they have just kept the libiraries the same... Did Anyone check and confirm them before being put in the program. Like with the Mac's, there great and very accurate Quote Link to comment
ericjames
I did not actually draw the symbols, and I have never checked them against actual specs from ETC.. but they seem to be pretty accurate for size comparison. Help yourself Eric Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Thank you Eric One problem here though. I'm on 12.5 and will not be able to open VW2008 files. May I ask as to where you got them from? Quote Link to comment
ericjames
I got the file from a friend of mine. He is the one that actually redrew all of the symbols. Here is the file in version 12 format, so you should have no problem opening the file. I have also attached a version 11 in case anyone else would like it. Eric Quote Link to comment

marioilsanker
Additionally, ETC provides CAD drawings of all their product on their website. Here's the link for the Source4 Zooms: http://www.etcconnect.com/product.downloads.aspx?ID=20081 Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Thanks for the link. a friend pointed out to me that VW 2012 have all these lights in the Libraries, looks like a copy from here, but symbols are also lighting instuments. So no real need to import when you have upgraded. But there will be new models from ETC and so now we know where to go. Quote Link to comment
