David Neale
Howdy. I'm running VectorWorks 12.0 on Windows XP. I am unable to rotate 3D objects (extrudes & meshes) on any axis around either object center or working plane center. I am able to rotate same objects by using the "next mouse click" option. I've been using VectorWorks for years and have never had this problem before. Have I inadvertantly changed a setting somewhere? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
You should update to 12.5.3 Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Shootin' from the hip: 1. Possible workaround: The 2d Rotate Tool works on 3d objects. Set working plane parallel to rotation plane. If nec, create some guide lines or locus points to define the rotation extent. 2. Reboot & relaunch might make commands functional again. 3. Some objects in the drawing could be corrupt. Test in a new, blank VW file with newly created 3d objects. -B Quote Link to comment
David Neale
Thanks. I was able to successfuly use the 2D Rotate tool as suggested. No luck with the 3D tool though, even in new blank files. It's frustrating, as I've used the 3D tool hundreds of times in the past with no problem. I'll try updating to 12.5.3 next.
