Guest Wes Gardner
I think in that project, I just cut holes in the roof by editing the roof object(s) and then made some skylights from extrudes/solid subtraction/additions, etc. and placed them on the roof... Quote Link to comment
henry's mom
The roof will not allow itself to be extracted. Maybe I'll just make one out of a tilted wall. wish there were skylights in the package. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
Please add a signature that describes your system and VW version. You may have to Ungroup your roof, so it becomes several Roof Faces. Then you can clip a hole in any one of them for your skylight - double click on the roof face, draw a rectangle where you want to cut the hole, select it and the roof face, click Clip Surface, delete the rectangle and click Done. Just draw the shape you wish to add or clip (in top plan view) select both objects and add or clip away. Saves a few clicks, and also allows context to be maintained... Quote Link to comment

It's desrcibed in VW Help in detail. Unfortunately it only works with roof objects, not roof faces, so I have to do them the hard way. Quote Link to comment
