bclighting Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 My lights are working fine if I run a Fast Renderworks setting but when I try switch to Final Quality and render none of my lights are on. I'm rendering a viewport of the front view. I would keep it on fast renderworks but that makes my truss look jagged and crappy. Any thoughts? Quote Link to comment

Fast renderworks does not use shadows which is wht it works. Depending on which version of VW you are using the origin of the light may be at the insertion point of the object, behind the chord of the truss. Your symbols may not have a non-shadow casting testure applied to them. (Default Instrument Texture) Those are the first tow things to check then you just need to see what else is blocking the light. bclighting Posted January 14, 2009 Author Share Posted January 14, 2009 (edited) I'll take a look at that. I have lights inside the truss and all over. I'm using '08 and I just added SP3 as well. Removing the shadow casting properties did the trick. Now I just have to play with it to get the focus a little crisper. Edited January 14, 2009 by bclighting Quote Link to comment
John Hoey Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 I thought I might jump in here, as my problem is a little similar. I have the same problem with the light beams disappearing in the Fast Renderworks with Shadows and the Final Renderworks, but I'm trying to get the templates to be visible. The beams go away completely in the fast version, and most of the time in the final, when there's anything other than the default instrument texture applied. Glad yours works out.
