0 panta rhei
Sorry, I was perhaps unclear. The normal Lock -command is not what you need? Quote Link to comment
0 AndiACD
Yep! i'd like to be able to lock objects to fixed coordinates too! Quote Link to comment
0 Jonathan Pickup
if you want to lock objects, select the object, then go to Modify on the menu bar, choose Lock. in VectorWorks 2009 i find it on my right mouse click, in VectorWorks 2008, i added it manually to my right mouse click (the context menu). 0 panta rhei
It seems I only do wrong mouse clicks... Jon, it appears that only positional locking is requested. For PIOs, that is quite conceivable - and not a bad idea at all: when NNA reveals the Mystery of the IFC-organism, I shall reveal the Secret of the Positionally Lockable PIO. Right. No-one will ever know how it is done. What a shame. I guess I'll take it to my grave. Quote Link to comment
0 Jonathan Pickup
so you mean, not total locking, just locking the position on the layer. the object would still be editable? Quote Link to comment
0 panta rhei
Yes, I can do that. Quote Link to comment
0 AndiACD
Spill the Beans then . . .. . . ... . . . ... .. . Please. Quote Link to comment
0 islandmon
The Layer is a container ...objects reside within the container and have a positional matrix... locking the matrix locks the positioning. If the Layer is locked so are all of its' contents. Quote Link to comment
0 AndiACD
So how do you lock individual objects with out tying up everything on the layer? Quote Link to comment
0 panta rhei
Spill the Beans then . . .. . . ... . . . ... .. . Please. I meant that I can write parametric objects that can be locked to position. Quote Link to comment
0 panta rhei
So how do you lock individual objects with out tying up everything on the layer? With the Lock-command. Quote Link to comment
