David Clinton
In V12.5 I was able to modify the DTM by creating 3D polys and placing them in the class 'Site-DTM-Modifiers'. I have many scripts and PIOs for roadway design using this class. It seems that V2009 does not utilize objects in this class to modify DTMs. After some experimentation it appears that the v2009 DTM can only be modified by DTM modifier objects created from the tool palette or menu commands. Am I correct in my observation? Does anyone have a work around? Dave C. user since MC4.0 Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
the object have to be site modifier objects. you can make a site modifier object by using the site modifier tool, or you can use a 2D polygon and then use my favorite command, Convert Objects from Polyline... last month the online user group covered site modeling and site modifying. Jonathan Pickup
I have added a site modeling tutorial to my web site, in the download manuals section: http://www.archoncad.com if you subscribe to the online user group you will have this manual already. Quote Link to comment
dspearman
Object of class Site-DTM-Modifiers are still recognized by my copy of Vw 2009. Could their be another issue? Does the modifier lie outside of the Site Models range? Is it not within a fence? Is the Site Model set to see objects on the same layer only? This should be working for you. Quote Link to comment
