Markus Dohner
I'm trying to figure out an efficient way to extrude type on a curved wall, not unlike dimensional letters you apply to a wall for a display. Any ideas out there? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Fairly easy, but there's a few steps: 1)In "front view" Create a letter (yes, I think you need to do these one at a time); 2) Use the "True Type to Polyline" command; 3) Ungroup; 4) Extrude the letter; 5) Switch to "top/plan" view and then rotate the letter so that it orients properly to the curved surface; 6) Repeat as necessary with additional letters... mike m oz
Markus it might also be worth trying the Text Along Path command. There is a movie showing how it works here: http://www.nemetschek.net/library/index.php?movie=12movies Quote Link to comment
